How we make money
Today: we don't. The site has no advertising, no paid links and no sponsors. When we mention a filing service or a company-formation service, the link goes to that company's own website and we are not paid for it.
What may change
- Display ads. We may later show ads from Google AdSense to cover running costs. Ads would appear as ads and would not be placed inside the steps.
- Affiliate (paid) links. We may later join affiliate programs of services that file Form 5472 or form US companies for non-US owners. If you buy through such a link, the service pays us a commission at no extra cost to you.
Which services might pay us
Paid links today: none.
Services we mention that run affiliate programs we may join later: Anytime Mailbox, Bizee, Buykii, doola, Firstbase. If we join, their links will become paid links and will be marked.
Services we mention with no plan for any payment: Form5472.ai, Form5472Prep, simple5472, Snapfile, Stripe Atlas.
Rules we will follow if we add paid links
- Every paid link will be marked "(paid link)" next to it, and the top of that page will say that the page contains paid links.
- Paid links will only appear where a reader would naturally ask "who can do this for me", usually at the end of a set of steps, never in the short answer at the top.
- Services will be listed in alphabetical order with prices as shown on their own websites on a stated date. Commission will not change the order, what we write, or whether we include a service.
- We will only list services that say they work with non-US owners.
